From Kerala to Chicago—and a few unexpected places along the way.
I grew up in Kerala, India, trained as an engineer, and began my career in consulting. That work eventually took me across industries, organizations and continents—and ultimately brought me to the United States.
I arrived in America shortly after 9/11 and became a U.S. citizen in 2016. Over two decades in consulting, I worked on complex transformation challenges across financial services, energy, manufacturing and other industries. But somewhere along the way, my definition of success began to change.
I became increasingly interested in a different question: How could I apply what I had learned to improve the lives of people around me?
That question has taken me in directions I never could have planned.
During the pandemic, it led to Takeout 25, a grassroots effort to help local restaurants that evolved into a nonprofit community organization. It led me into public service and four years as an elected Village Trustee in Oak Park. It led to writing The Takeout 25 Effect, to leading digital transformation at Junior Achievement of Chicago, and eventually back to entrepreneurship through 20fy.ai.
These experiences may look disconnected on a résumé. To me, they're increasingly connected.
I'm interested in how people organize around ideas, how technology changes what's possible, how communities become stronger, and how each of us can continue learning and evolving throughout our lives.
This website is where I'm beginning to capture some of those lessons—not because I have all the answers, but because I've found that writing is one of the best ways to discover better questions.
